who excels in this role: Duties include assisting with the direct care of patients as well as other clinic activities such as preparation and information documentation for the patient’s visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient.

Prepares exam rooms for patients.

May assist with procedures as directed by the Provider.

Assists with collection of lab samples.

Additional requirements include: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Work experience: Past experience in the medical field is preferred, but working as a medical assistant in a physician’s office is not required.
