You'll work closely with design, process, and software engineering teams to enhance productivity, introduce new technologies, and help drive the adoption of AI and machine learning within engineering workflows.Responsibilities:Lead the development, evaluation, and enhancement of CAD and EDA tools, flows, and methodologiesDrive large-scale technical projects and provide expertise within CAD, design automation, and verification domainsGuide AI and machine learning integration across CAD workflows and engineering applicationsCollaborate with design and process engineering teams to improve design efficiency and tool effectivenessDeliver training, documentation, and technical support for new tools, processes, and methodologiesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field10+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering, CAD, EDA, design automation, verification, or related areasExperience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic capture, layout, simulation, and verificationStrong programming skills with experience in Python and at least one additional language such as SKILL, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, or Visual BasicKnowledge of CMOS circuit design and implementation, including area, performance, and power tradeoffsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with AI/ML, large language models, agentic AI, or AI-enabled engineering applicationsExperience with RTL-to-GDSII implementation flows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlassExperience with analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction flows, or design database version control systemsExperience working in Unix environments and developing shell scriptsMicron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
