GRADUATE NURSE INPATIENT - LICENSED RNs ONLY

Compensation Sign‑On Bonus Available. Relocation Assistance Available. Pay rate: 17% weekday nights, 26% weekend nights, 15% weekend day shift differentials. Minimum and maximum offer: $30.84/hr. Compensation is based on experience, education, and other business considerations. Position Summary Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care. Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Detailed Responsibilities Deliver safe, direct care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of an RN preceptor. Work within hospital, nursing division, and departmental policies. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching. Administer medication, including IV medication, following the Seven Rights; document and communicate findings. Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards. Assist in maintaining, supporting, and implementing department and hospital mission and goals. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in‑services, meetings, and workshops. Follow patient safety‑related policies, procedures, and protocols. Demonstrate a proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve policies and processes. Identify and correct environmental conditions that may put a patient at undue risk. Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors, and/or near misses promptly. Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting situations that are unclear. Qualifications Education – Essential: Program graduate. Nonessential: Bachelor’s degree. Specialization – Essential: Nationally accredited nursing graduate. Nonessential: Nursing. Experience – Essential: No minimum experience required. Nonessential experience: Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo. Credentials – Essential: CPR for healthcare/BLS provider or professional rescuer within 30 days; NM Board of Nursing graduate, permit, or RN license. Physical Requirements Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects or people. Working Conditions Essential: Significant hazard—chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring PPE. Limited access to medication room. Med administration policy, attend A.
