Work Environment

The Staff Physical Therapist role is primarily conducted onsite in patients' homes across Reno, Nevada. Our work environment is dynamic and engaging, with a focus on teamwork and communication. Areas of practice include orthopedics, neurology, and general rehabilitation, catering to a diverse patient population. Our home care model enables you to work closely with patients in their everyday settings, allowing for a personal touch in treatment that can significantly enhance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to develop individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Deliver hands-on therapy using a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at pain relief and mobility improvement.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to coordinate care and ensure all patient needs are met.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment strategies, and home exercise programs to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Utilize our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and progress notes.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to holistic treatment strategies and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Engage in professional development activities, including attending workshops and training sessions, to stay abreast of the latest therapy advancements.
• Encourage community engagement and patient satisfaction through exceptional care and relationship-building.
• Facilitate the mentorship and training of new staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, and addressing acute injuries. Our focus is on delivering individualized care that respects the uniqueness of each patient's journey. By providing therapy in the home setting, you will be able to observe patients in their daily environments, allowing for tailored interventions that significantly enhance rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited academic program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license or eligibility to practice in the state of Nevada.
• Strong foundational knowledge in orthopedics, neurology, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Proficient in handling fast-paced work environments while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
• A collaborative spirit and drive for continuous professional growth.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient orthopedics or home care.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
