Position Overview The Medical Assistant shall provide clinical support services at LBNL's employee occupational health clinic to ensure employee health, regulatory compliance and best EH&S practices. The Medical Assistant shall provide support for both front and back office activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling and rescheduling appointments for multiple health care providers, managing clinic calendars, extensive medical record handling, patient intakes and initial evaluations, provision of specialized services based upon reason for visit and referral to appropriate level of health care provider.
