Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

ER RN John Muir Walnut Creek

12 hour, 36 hours per week starting July 9 for 13 weeks. Must have current CA license at time of submission. Will work in Walnut Creek. If Concord gets busy, the traveler may be asked to float occasionally to Concord. The two campuses are 8 miles apart. Unit: ER RN. Years of experience required: 2 years. Years of experience preferred: 3+ years. Previous travel required. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CA Lic. Certifications preferred: CEN, TNCC. Licensure required upon submission: Yes. Covid Info: exemptions allowed. Flu Info: declination allowed. Shift details: will work every shift listed here as needed by hospital: 5a-5p, 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p. 36 hours per week. Patient population on the unit: 350+ bed hospital, non-teaching community. Level II trauma. 45000 pts seen a year. 30+ bed ER must have some trauma experience; PEDS is strongly preferred. Ratios on the unit: 1:4 depends on patient acuity and census, ratios are mandated by state of CA. Float requirements: will float as needed depending on patient care but only within scope of skill. Schedule/Weekend requirements: typically every other weekend rotation. EMR – note if required/preferred: EPIC, preferred. Scrub Info: any color scrubs, will get detailed info with first day info. Testing during orientation (pass/fail): n/a. Will they take past perm staff as travel: yes if eligible. Payroll process: kronos. IVS process if any: profile will go to IVS then to mgr for review. # beds in the facility: 350+ # beds in unit: 44 Teaching hosp: no. Required upon submission: MUST have current CA lic at time of submission. Must have 2 years exp in relevant specialty. No work hx with gaps over 30 days w/o explanation, Must have Facility Type, EMR, and Bed Count filled out. 1 Reference- dated no more than 12 months old. Skills Checklist – dated no more than 12 months old. All RTO must be in packet at time of submission. Preferred: Prior Travel experience EPIC EMR experience.
