Airfield Electrical Associate

Develop assessments, drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and other project deliverables Perform analysis, calculations, design, evaluation, and inspection of power, lighting, telecommunications, and special systems Lead airfield electrical designs, including airfield ground lighting systems, signs, navigational aids, and airfield electrical vault equipment Coordinate drawing legends, layouts, details, specifications, pay items, and takeoff estimates Coordinate electrical designs with pavement, marking, grading, drainage, and other disciplines Perform QA/QC to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs and deliverables Assist with design scope and construction schedule coordination involving airport stakeholders, FAA, and design partners Perform construction administration and construction management tasks, including submittal reviews, site surveys, and engineering studies Represent MBI in internal and external meetings involving airfield electrical designs Support development and maintenance of department design standards Monitor project production and schedules to ensure completion on schedule and within budget Provide guidance and informal training to less experienced personnel Support operations managers, project managers, and marketing teams while pursuing new work opportunities Requirements Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or higher in engineering or a related technical field from an ABET-accredited college or university At least three (3) years of technical experience in the Architecture, Engineering, & Construction (AEC) industry Lead development of survey-accurate drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D Produce accurate reports, FAA/UFGS specifications, notes, and other technical content Develop quantity takeoffs, estimates, and calculations using Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other tools Communicate engineering concepts to project managers and non-engineering staff Find, understand, and apply FAA Advisory Circulars, FAA Engineering Briefs, FAA Orders, and other FAA standards Find, understand, and apply WBDG Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Find, understand, and apply NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC) and other NFPA codes Find, understand, and apply IBC, IECC, and local building-code amendments Understand and apply client guidelines and design requirements Participate in and follow QA/QC processes Understand and apply airfield electrical engineering concepts, including lighting controls, power circuits, grounding, lightning protection, generators, ATS, UPS, voltage drop, demand factors, ampacity, circuit protection, and insulation resistance Understand civil engineering concepts including Part-77 imaginary surfaces, pavement design, grading, drainage, and construction safety phasing Software knowledge: Microsoft Office Applications and Autodesk AutoCAD Preferred: Autodesk Revit, Acuity Visual and/or AGI 32, Bluebeam Revu, and SpecsIntact Preferred:
