Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $140,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• We should have strong product leadership, translating complex business goals into technical roadmaps and reducing uncertainty through spikes and prototyping.
• We should be able to design scalable, adaptable systems and data models with performance, failure isolation, and long-term maintainability in mind.
• We should define and maintain engineering standards, including CI/CD improvements, testing approaches, and coding conventions across the stack.
• We should establish frontend architecture patterns, including state management, performance budgets, and thorough testing such as E2E or Cypress.
• We should deliver advanced backend solutions, including API versioning, caching approaches, and complex data migration planning.
• We should lead observability and SRE practices, including defining SLOs, managing incidents, and running blameless post-mortems.
• We should oversee operational security, including secrets management and dependency risk control, to keep production hardened.
• We should actively mentor others, lead design reviews, and influence the product roadmap using technical insight.
• We should coordinate cross-team delivery and align stakeholders to remove technical blockers across the organisation.

• We will help shape what gets built and why, contributing to squad quarterly goals and long-term product vision with our Product Manager and Engineering Manager.
• We will write design documents for major platform changes and guide the technical direction of our team.
• We will identify investment areas, manage technical debt proactively, and keep our focus on work that drives meaningful impact.
• We will communicate complex ideas across teams, identify the right stakeholders, and drive alignment across the wider organisation.
• We will contribute to engineering guilds, solution discovery, and cross-squad initiatives.
• We will mentor and coach less experienced colleagues through feedback, reviews, pairing, and day-to-day support.
• We will help Engineering Managers understand the teams technical growth areas and raise the overall engineering standard.
• We will support a new product launch as we continue expanding our engineering presence in North America.
