Personnel AssistantThe County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) regular, full-time position in the class of Personnel Assistant at the Yolo County Human Resources Department. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list that will be utilized to fill this vacancy as well as future positions as they become available.This position will frequently perform tasks that support critical administrative and technical Human Resources functions such as recruitment processing and examination, maintaining the applicant tracking system, eligible lists, and confidential personnel records. Incumbent in this position will respond to routine inquiries from employees, applicants, and the public regarding employee selection and onboarding, payroll, benefits, leaves administration, workers compensation, Memorandum of Understandings, and Personnel Rules and Regulations. The incumbent will also assist with personnel data reporting and other HR programs.Ideal candidate characteristics include: public sector Human Resources experience with a demonstrated aptitude for the identified position functions, Human Resources experience in a large, fast-paced department that requires a high level of support, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, customer-focused attitude and the ability to be a resourceful problem-solver.Interested applicants should submit an online County of Yolo Employment Application, completed supplemental questionnaire, and verification of education beyond high school graduation by the closing date.
