Legacy Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning is a second-generation, family-owned company proudly serving the East Bay since 2012.

Based in Dublin, California, we provide professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, area rug cleaning, and hard surface floor care throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, primarily along the I-680 corridor.

The Position

Job Title: Experienced Carpet Cleaning Technician

We're looking for a skilled carpet cleaning professional who already understands the industry and is comfortable working independently.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous professional carpet cleaning experience is required.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with truck-mounted carpet cleaning systems, understands proper cleaning techniques, and can confidently manage a daily route while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

We aren't necessarily looking for someone who knows everything. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation, a great attitude, and the desire to become an important part of our team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Professionally cleaning carpets, upholstery, area rugs, and hard surface flooring in residential and commercial properties.
• Operating and maintaining truck-mounted carpet cleaning equipment.
• Performing thorough pre-inspections and identifying appropriate cleaning methods.
• Understanding carpet fibers, spotting techniques, cleaning solutions, and proper chemical application.
• Communicating with customers about cleaning processes, expectations, and results.
• Providing accurate measurements, estimates, and service recommendations.
• Managing daily appointments efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle.
• Properly caring for company equipment and supplies.
• Communicating effectively with our office and customers.
• Representing Legacy with professionalism, honesty, and pride.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of professional carpet cleaning experience.
• Experience operating truck-mounted carpet cleaning equipment.
• Strong understanding of professional carpet cleaning methods, chemicals, and spotting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills, including calculating square footage.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Ability to meet applicable employment screening requirements.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, even when nobody is watching.

It'd Be Even COOLER If You Had:

• IICRC certification.
• Experience with upholstery and fine fabric cleaning.
• Experience cleaning tile and grout.
• Knowledge of carpet fiber identification and pH.
• Experience with specialty spotting and stain removal.
• Experience with area rug cleaning.
• Strong customer communication and estimating skills.
• A good sense of humor!

Yes. We're looking for someone who has the experience and confidence to eventually manage their own daily route.

You'll have support from our team, but you should already possess the technical skills and industry knowledge necessary to perform professional carpet cleaning services.
