Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Pharmacy

Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period, all applicants will be considered equally. This is a Day/Night Shift Position Primary Shift: 0700-1530 Secondary Shifts: 2100-0730, 0600-1430

GENERAL SUMMARY

Each Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the staff pharmacists in the various functions of the Department, including dispensing and order filling responsibilities, inventory controls, and prepackaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Skills Required

1. High School Diploma (minimum) required.
2. Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
3. Must pass basic calculations competency.
4. Computer experience preferred.
5. Must pass basic Word competency.
6. Must secure a Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program.
