Job Description This position is within the Protein Optimization Team of Biotechnology Discovery Research, which is responsible for generating, characterizing, and optimizing biotherapeutics from lead generation to lead optimization and preclinical development. We are seeking a motivated researchassociate to join our talented multidisciplinary team focused on optimizing protein biotherapeutics. You will be responsible for purifying proteins and antibodies for protein engineering and structure/function analysis. Youl will also be responsible for characterizing biopharmaceutical properties using biochemical, analytical and biophysical techniques towards the identification and mitigation of developability risks. You should possess strong core competency in protein biochemistry, with experience in molecular biology, purification, and protein characterization. Moreover, individuals within the Protein Optimization Team are expected to engage in cross-disciplinary efforts across discovery and development. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of research experience or MS degree in Biochemistry or related field Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Skills/Preferences Hands-on experience in cloning, purification, and characterization of proteins. Capability of independently designing experiments, generating data, interpreting results and documenting work.
