Southeastern Louisiana University's Police Department invites applications for the position of Police Officer 1/2. This is a training series position that will allow applicants to be hired as a Police Officer 1 or Police Officer 2 based on qualifications.Police Officer 1: No experience required.Police Officer 2: One year of experience in law enforcement work.Current Salary Police Officer 1: $18.58/hr SERCurrent Salary Police Officer 2: $19.88/hr SERWhen applying, you should list all Education and Work Experience on this application. This information will be used to determine if you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position. If complete information is not listed, it may result in your application not being considered.Resumes WILL NOT be accepted in lieu of completed education and experience sections on your application.Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course.Test RequirementsApplicants must have a current Civil Service test score for 2100-PSE-Protective Services Exam for Law Enforcement in order to be considered for this vacancy unless exempted by Civil Service rule or policy.
