Home Care Aide and Companion

As an In-Home Aide and Companion, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your clients one-on-one, helping them live a healthy, happy and safe life at home.

We're looking for PRN In-Home Aides and Companions (less than 20hrs per week) to float -7a-3p, 3p -11p or 7p 7a with weekend shifts required.

What you'll do:

• Offer companionship by joining clients on walks or accompanying them on visits
• Assist and perform tasks delegated by Campus and Home Care nurses to support clients with their ADLs and IADLs
• Assist Home Care clients with activities such as shopping, transportation to appointments and daily tasks that do not require extensive "hands on" care
• Support clients with household management tasks, such as caring for their pets, closet organization, light housekeeping, etc.
• Communicate changes in a resident's condition to the nurse on duty
• Maintain chart documentation, and utilize applicable software to do so
• Always practice safety and infection control methods
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements
• Participate in ongoing education and training
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• High School or GED equivalent is preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience in home care, home health, geriatrics or LTC (Preferred)
• Ability to travel frequently, with an active driver's license
• Active CPR certificate or willingness to obtain with six months of joining the team

Compensation is $15.00-$16.00 per hour based on experience, plus shift differentials!
