Special Education Paraprofessional- Substitute

Summary The Paraprofessional - Substitute will provide support to teachers and students in the absence of the regular paraprofessional. This is a substitute position located at District Wide. Responsibilities Assist with instructional activities under the guidance of the teacher Provide individual and small group instruction as directed by the teacher Assist with classroom management and behavior support Assist with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional materials and classroom resources Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment Communicate with the regular paraprofessional and teacher regarding student progress and behavior Requirements AA degree, Parapro certificate. High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting Ability to follow written and oral instructions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members Flexibility and willingness to work in different classrooms and with different age groups Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sylvania
