Field Training Specialist I - Raleigh, NC

Job Overview: With over 70 years of experience, Primoris Power Delivery offers engineering, design, installation, and maintenance services across the electrical transmission, distribution, and substation sectors. The Training Specialist role in Raleigh, NC will support training functions across multiple departments, ensuring safety and program compliance. Responsibilities Develop, produce, and update training content related to operational needs. Organize, schedule, and facilitate training sessions including New Hire Orientation, compliance, and job‑specific programs. Administer production of training materials, handouts, instructional aids, and manuals. Maintain training rosters and records for all learning activities. Assist with training events in corporate or community settings, using traditional and modern delivery methods. Ensure all equipment, tools, and PPE are inspected, maintained, and compliant with company and OSHA requirements. Collaborate closely with Operations, Safety, HR, customers, contractors, and fleet teams to promote clear communication and adherence to policies. Travel as needed to multiple locations (up to 50%) to facilitate training. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in substation, transmission, or distribution (underground or overhead). Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills; willing to assist across the Utility Segment Training organization. Experience with heavy equipment such as buckets, digger derricks, back‑yard machines, forklifts, and skylifts. Must obtain and maintain OSHA 500 certification. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Valid driver’s license; commercial driver’s license preferred. Physical & Other Requirements Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Capable of climbing wooden structures and working in varied terrain and weather conditions. Must be able to work extended hours outside of normal work hours. Lead by example and consistently follow safety handbook, policies, and code of conduct. Inspect PPE, equipment, and tools regularly to ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
