About Navigation Eye Care

Navigation Eye Care is a family‑focused optometry practice serving patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on pediatrics. Many families come to us because of their children — and stay with us for years. That means you may help a child choose their first pair of glasses, then fit their parents and grandparents in the same afternoon.

We are hiring an experienced optician, but we will also consider a high‑performing retail sales professional who is detail‑oriented, eager to learn technical skills, and ready to take ownership in a healthcare setting.

About the Optician role

As an Optician at Navigation Eye Care, you will own each eyewear order from start to finish. You guide patients — or parents choosing for their children — toward eyewear that fits the prescription, the lifestyle, and the budget. You communicate clearly, earn trust quickly, and ensure every detail is accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full eyewear process: frame selection, precise measurements, lab submission within 24 hours, and accurate pricing/insurance entry
• Guide patients and parents through lens options and frame choices with confidence and clarity
• Troubleshoot fit issues and lab concerns independently, escalating only when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and up‑to‑date dispensary
• Stay informed on lens technology, frame trends, and product updates
• Move smoothly between patient care, phone calls, and order processing during busy clinic flow
• Support a high‑standard, family‑friendly optical experience
• We use Revolution EHR; familiarity with vision insurance and EHR systems is helpful.
• In‑house edging experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn edging is required
