Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic across a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position rotating across multiple ICU units within a large academic medical center
• Units include Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity based on staffing and patient acuity needs
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Procedures include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic required
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• RTO must be requested prior to assignment and limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting the offer — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Multiple on-site parking permit options are available for agency staff through CampusParc, ranging from full 24/7 garage access to budget-friendly surface lot options with shuttle service
