About the Position

Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days, Monday-Friday with rotating call on Sunday nights Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Kansas Licensure Certifications: BLS, ARRT, LRT Must-Have: - DR skills - Some OR experience - Ability to work independently - Experience working with CT Technologists for patient transfers Description: The position involves working in a dynamic Radiology department. The department is equipped with 2 X-ray rooms, 2 portables, and 3 C-arms. The responsibilities include performing outpatient, ER, ICU, and floor X-rays, as well as operating in the OR and Fluoroscopy when scheduled during the day. After 7 PM, the duties consist of general ER, ICU, and inpatient X-rays, along with occasional add-on surgeries. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is between 5-20 X-rays per shift. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is required, specifically with EPIC software. The Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) used is Synapse Fujifilm. The department supervisor is available for guidance and support. Radiologists are present during the day and are on call after hours. The role includes a call requirement on Sunday nights, with a response time of 30 minutes. The dress code requires professional attire as scrubs are not provided. The department has set schedules but is flexible with requested time off. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required depending on scheduling needs. Candidates must be compliant with all certification requirements. This role does not involve starting IVs. The position offers an opportunity to work in an acute care setting in a trauma level 3 facility.
