Position Summary: The Activities Director plans, organizes, supervises, and directs all administrative and operational activities of the Activities Department. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Activities Department and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. Key Responsibilities: Direct the development, implementation, supervision, and ongoing evaluation of the activities program designed to meet the social, psychosocial, and therapeutic needs of our residents Supervise the scheduling of activities, including individual and group programs, and ensure that each resident is offered at least one cognitive activity, two recreational activities, and three ADL activities daily Ensure the safety of residents during activities and monitor the use of harmful items Establish and oversee the Resident Council, including documentation of meeting minutes and concerns expressed Perform a variety of administrative functions, including staff orientation, policy development, and employee performance evaluations Oversee the facility's volunteer program and supervise student practices in Leisure Studies and related educational areas Monitor the schedule and services provided by the Beauty Shop Operators Qualifications: Licensed or registered, if applicable, by the state in which practicing as an Activities Director 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program Completed a training course approved by the State Work Environment: Our care community is designed as a relaxing haven for those who are looking for a secure, serene, and maintenance-free lifestyle.
