OverviewMake your mark on the future of ArcGIS by joining the ArcGIS Enterprise portal team as a Sr. Product Test Engineer. We’re looking for a collaborative individual who deeply understands user needs and can help shape the vision for quality in our software. In this foundational role, you’ll design and evolve a resilient automated test framework that reflects real-world use cases. With each new feature, you’ll strengthen automated coverage, so our test infrastructure grows alongside our releases. Your insights will guide thoughtful interpretation of test results throughout the development process. When issues arise, you’ll support the team in understanding where, why and how they occurred. Through your dedication and influence, you’ll contribute directly to delivering dependable software to users across the globe.ResponsibilitiesSet the scope, vision, and priorities of the test automation team by understanding team and stakeholder software quality needsCollaborate with product engineers and software developers to set the vision and scope of automated tests for ArcGIS Enterprise Work with feature teams to gather, design, and scope automated test cases and then have them implemented by software development engineers in testMonitor and analyze test results; collaborate across teams to ensure software quality and release readinessDocument and communicate software issues found during automated and manual testing, asserting that the issues are tracked, triaged and addressedReproduce customer-reported bugs and work closely with Software Development Engineers to resolve these issuesAdvocate for software quality, test automation and accurate reporting for Enterprise teamRequirements5+ years of software testing experience and execution of automated tests (such as Selenium or related tools)Experience using an application development language, such as Java, C# or PythonStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS platform technologiesSelf-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning and building software productsProven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of manual and automated testing practices for functional, regression, and performance scenariosBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, geography, GIS, mathematics, or related fieldRecommended QualificationsTesting experience with large-scale GIS systems or desktop, web, or mobile applicationsFamiliarity with JSON, REST, Fiddler, and browser debugging toolsExperience with manual testing frameworks such as TestRail and strong understanding of end-user workflowsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins) for automated deployments and test executionFamiliarity with the Agile software development life cycle#LI-TA1#LI-OnsiteTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy.
