Mainframe VTAM Systems Programmer/Engineer

Design, build, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems Apply automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to ensure infrastructure availability and performance Manage infrastructure engineering projects and processes in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve infrastructure standards and processes Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting infrastructure performance and reliability Support compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance Review and guide infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures Provide technical guidance to lower-level technical professionals Develop technical solutions through deep infrastructure systems analysis Lead infrastructure processes Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware VTAM/Network and IBM Mainframe knowledge VTAM / SNA (EE Configurations) / TCP/IP experience Encryption and certificate management experience Familiarity with network security protocols including IPSec, AT-TLS, and SSH Familiarity with network monitoring tools including Omegamon, NetMaster, and Traces Experience with logical connectivity between applications and mainframe subsystems Knowledge of Coupling Facility support, High Availability, and Automation Familiarity with Parallel Sysplex (GDPS) and IBM System utilities Banking or financial services experience Ability to participate in on-call support and after-hours/weekend work English language fluency required Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure technology platforms, with a strong focus on automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques.
