Job Description Job Description Description A CAD Drafter, also known as a Computer-Aided Design Drafter, is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Responsibilities may include: Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications. Incorporating design changes and modifications into existing drawings. Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations. Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches. Creating 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems. Performing calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings. Organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation. Communicating and coordinating with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings. Providing support during the construction or manufacturing process by clarifying drawings and providing additional information as needed. CAD Drafters should have a strong understanding of drafting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. They should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
