Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 3 years of experience for an acute care hospital OR position requiring on-call and weekend availability.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 189 staffed beds
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Weekend call required, including working 1 Saturday 8-hour day and rotating weekend call
• On-call requirements include weekday call every 4-6 days and weekend call (2-3 Saturday or Sunday 24-hour shifts) within a 6-week schedule
• May be required to float to a sister facility
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Community hospital setting

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission if applicable
• Full SSN and date of birth required for submission
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Scrubs of any color are accepted

• First-time travelers will be considered depending on experience or proficiency
• Local candidates accepted, though at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles, along with location and dates
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission, as post-offer requests may not be granted
