Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN

Schedule

This position operates on a Day 4x10-Hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including average 8-10 call shifts per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN who can scrub but not operate fluoroscopy. The ideal candidate will perform a rad tech role and must have experience in both the cath lab and IR lab settings. This position is open to first-time travelers and requires a strong background in cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing in for catheterization procedures
• Providing patient care in the Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Executing left and right heart catheterizations
• Assisting in procedures such as PCI, IABP placement/removal, and stent placements
• Monitoring patients during diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• Performing phlebotomy and IV placement as required
• Maintaining competency in infection prevention and procedural sedation monitoring

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• RDCS or RCIS certification preferred
• New York State nursing license required
• Proficiency in Epic charting system is mandatory
