Machine Operator/Production Technician | Cedar City, UT

Nexeo Staffing is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a growing nutraceutical manufacturing facility in Cedar City, UT. We are seeking dependable candidates with experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

This is not a general warehouse position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience running production machinery, following detailed operating procedures, maintaining quality standards, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust softgel encapsulation and production equipment.
• Prepare gelatin batches, ingredients, and fill materials according to production formulas and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform in-process quality inspections, including capsule appearance, weight, seams, moisture levels, and overall consistency.
• Complete production records, batch documentation, and quality paperwork accurately.
• Load and unload product trays and transfer materials to drying tunnels or designated production areas.
• Assist with machine changeovers, cleaning, sanitation, and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues promptly.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), food-safety protocols, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
• Experience operating production, packaging, food-processing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or industrial manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to monitor machinery, identify issues, and follow operating procedures consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Experience completing production logs, batch records, or quality documentation is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in warm and humid production environments.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Preferred backgrounds include nutraceutical, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, packaging, or other regulated production environments.

Pay

$18.00–$25.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Day Shift: Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM–5:30 PM

Full Time | Night Shift: Monday–Saturday | 5:30 PM–5:30 AM

Busy Season: 12-hour shifts (up to 5 days per week)

Regular Schedule: 4 days per week, 12-hour shifts
