We believe in both dedicating ourselves to excellence and investing in your growth.As a Procurement Agent, you will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities that directly support power generation and utility operations across Associated Electric Cooperative. You’ll partner with internal teams and suppliers to secure materials and services, optimize costs, and ensure reliable operations. This role blends category management, supplier negotiations, and contract strategy to deliver real impact in a fast-moving, team-focused environment.What You’ll DoPerform procurement work under minimal supervision for high value and high impact transactions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define specifications, scope of work, and procurement strategies for materials and servicesLead sourcing efforts including bid evaluations, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to drive value and performanceManage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, service levels, and cost expectations are consistently metAnalyze procurement categories to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsOversee purchase orders and procurement activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deliveryResolve supplier or service issues by partnering across teams and driving practical, effective solutionsWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experienceTypically, at least 4 years of related experienceExperience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, with increased responsibility based on levelStrong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to evaluate contracts and commercial termsClear communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teamsProficiency with standard business and procurement systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow through in a deadline-driven environmentPreferredExperience supporting industrial operations, utilities, or power generation environmentsProfessional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or similarWhat Associated provides:We are committed to rewarding talent with top pay.
