What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Key Search Terms)

• Credentials: Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license ( required ).
• Experience: 2+ years of dental assisting experience under your belt. Prior clinical experience in a fast-paced orthodontic bay is a massive competitive advantage!
• Technical Software Skills: Familiarity with modern dental practice management software, digital charting, and digital radiography systems (experience with Cloud 9 . Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft is a major plus).
• Soft Skills: Top-notch communication and interpersonal skills, a gentle bedside manner that makes patients feel safe and at home, sharp attention to clinical detail, and a naturally positive, team-first attitude.
• Safety & Compliance: This is a safety-sensitive role that requires a successful pre-employment drug screening and background check. We strictly maintain a safe clinical environment by exceeding all CDC, OSHA, and ADA guidelines.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Orthodontic Chairside Assisting: Provide high-quality clinical support and RDA-level care during routine wire adjustments, bondings, appliance deliveries, and debonding appointments.
• Digital Diagnostics: Take accurate orthodontic diagnostic records, including high-resolution digital intraoral photographs, X-rays, and computer-guided digital impressions/scans.
• Patient & Parent Concierge: Warmly welcome local families, ease treatment anxieties with high-energy positivity, deliver clear oral hygiene instructions, and celebrate milestone "braces-off" moments!
• Multi-Site Synergy: Maintain an adaptable, upbeat attitude while traveling to support our operations smoothly across our Sacramento-area clinic tracks.
