Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every other weekend and major holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness for a mixed cardiac telemetry patient population including pre/post cath, post-stroke, Afib, and CHF exacerbation patients
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, and non-titratable Heparin in accordance with applicable policies and standards of practice
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and manage peripheral IVs, Alaris pumps, LifePak defibrillators, and other unit equipment
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team and communicating with patients and families
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and adhering to universal precautions and infection control policies
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed based on facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or covered by compact licensure
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Must pass EKG exam at orientation
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CCRN or PCCN certification
