Join a growing Charlotte-based CPA firm as a Client Advisory Services (CAS) Senior , where you'll serve as a trusted advisor to privately held small- and mid-sized businesses. In this role, you'll provide outsourced accounting and controllership services, oversee month-end close and financial reporting, mentor junior staff, and partner directly with clients to deliver strategic accounting solutions. Responsibilities

• Client Accounting Services (“CAS”), which encompasses quarterly or monthly outsourced controllership and consulting to clients’ accounting staff or office managers.
\n
• Oversee and review all general ledger reconciliations and prepare/review client journal entries.
\n
• Prepare/review fixed asset registers.
\n
• Prepare/review prepaid and accrual schedules.
\n
• Prepare/review the month-end close process.
\n
• Prepare/review and troubleshoot any issues with bank and credit card reconciliations.
\n
• Prepare/review schedules for external auditor requests.
\n
• Prepare compiled GAAP and Income tax basis financial statements.
\n
• Train, mentor, and guide CAS staff and interns.
\n
• Lead the client on-boarding process, including developing financial reports, chart of accounts, and initial revisions.
\n
• Analyze financial results and make recommendations to client management.
\n
• Reconcile, review and post monthly payroll entries.
\n
• Prepare/review annual 1099 forms and annual/quarterly payroll tax returns.
\n
• Prepare/review business personal property tax returns.
\n
• Prepare income tax returns for small businesses and their owners.
\n
• Work as a team with the client manager to coordinate multiple service deliverables and setting timelines for the accounting, attest, and tax compliance as a holistic service provider.

Requirements

\n
• 3+ years of relevant experience, specifically external client-facing services.
\n
• Intermediate to Advanced skills with Excel (including pivot and VLOOKUP).
\n
• Experience with various versions of QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
\n
• Ability to prioritize effectively and meet tight monthly deadlines.
\n
• Strong judgment skills and ability to know when to escalate an issue to the partner or manager on a client account.
\n

Preferred

\n
• Licensed CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
\n
• Experience with business clients $1-$15+ million in revenue.
\n
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax requirements.
\n
• Industry knowledge for construction/contractors, real estate, and/or professional services.
\n
• Prior experience in training and technical review of staff work.
\n
• Motivated to be an advisor to a variety of business clients with varying skill levels.
\n

We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000.00-$95,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
