Required Skills & Experience• 5-7 years of working experience as a Product Owner • Requirements elicitation to get to the truth of what is desired plus the many dimensions required to deliver • Understanding of forecasting techniques and the difference between a commitment and a forecast • Understanding of complex work and the concept of ship & learn • Able to create concise, clear product backlog items using a user story format with acceptance criteria when useful depending on the situation. • Understands how to vertically slice and decompose large work items by workflow, pathing, data, and other methods. • Understands a variety of techniques for ordering the backlog • Skillfully able to accept the stated capacity of the team to do work and understanding of self-management as a value-add • Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating team collaboration and communication • Experience and comfortability in coaching and collaborating with stakeholders in a client-facing role. • Scrum Guide Expertise.Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Product Owner certification from recognized agency; PSPO II and more from Scrum.org preferred

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: • Uses empirical product planning techniques to maximize the value of a scrum team by guiding them in improving the utility and value of the product • Gather and document detailed business and technical requirements. • Manages the product backlog by ensuring the work items contained within it are well-ordered, well understood, possible to be completed during a sprint, are non-dependent on outside work completion, and result in usable, valuable software • Participates in Scrum events as their highest priority including Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective • Hosts and leads the Sprint Review • Immerses in the strategic planning, marketing, product, and other decision making within the business • Communicates a clear, achievable vision of the future of the product should the scrum team be successful. • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that all competing priorities are taken into consideration for decisions about how to order the product backlog. • Forecasts completion of work in the product backlog by understanding the past performance of the team, the items in the product backlog, the future capacity of the team, and the team's definition of done. • Translate business needs into technical specifications, including user stories, process flows, wireframes, and swim lane diagrams. • Maintain a centralized documentation repository and ensure technical artifacts are version-controlled and accessible. • Collaborate closely with developers and architects to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with system capabilities.
