Senior Director, AI/ML Data Engineer

Salary: $30,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong background designing and delivering enterprise software, platform, and AI solutions in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of AI engineering patterns, preferably with machine learning experience; deep learning is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML architecture across training, inference, feature pipelines, model serving, orchestration, agent protocols, and related areas.
• Solid platform engineering capability spanning APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and secure deployment.
• Experience with AI platforms, developer platforms, or internal enablement products.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear architecture decisions, delivery plans, and business outcomes, while identifying design flaws and risks.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, risk, control, and senior stakeholder groups.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is beneficial.
• 15+ years of software development experience required; experience in securities or financial services is a plus.
• Preferred expertise in applied AI, ML/optimization, orchestration, and software architecture, including evaluation frameworks and guardrail design.
• Preferred familiarity with vector databases, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, memory-based agents, and agentic protocols.
• Preferred experience with MLOps, model lifecycle tooling, and production AI observability.
• Preferred background in AI for engineering practices and agentic SDLC design, with attention to production-scale resilience.

• Lead solution architecture for frontier AI products and identify high-value business use cases within Eliza Frontier Solutions.
• Review and improve end-to-end technical designs for AI applications and agentic workflows, emphasizing reusability, resilience, observability, and commercial feasibility.
• Shape technical direction for new initiatives by aligning user needs, platform strategy, and implementation tradeoffs, while establishing patterns and golden paths.
• Build reusable patterns for AI engineering, platform integration, governance, and production readiness.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor on complex cross-functional initiatives and key architecture reviews.
