Gastroenterologist | Full-Time
A well-established, nonprofit healthcare organization is actively seeking a 2027 Gastroenterologist to join its growing digestive health team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduating Gastroenterology fellow looking to begin their career in a supportive, physician-focused environment with a strong referral network, advanced clinical resources, and opportunities to build a successful GI practice.
The position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, along with opportunities to perform advanced and general GI procedures in a collaborative healthcare setting.
2027 Gastroenterology Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
Develop a balanced practice with both inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy
Manage a broad range of GI conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
Establish strong relationships with patients, referring physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams
Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists
Utilize an integrated EMR system for efficient clinical documentation
Participate in shared call coverage within a supportive GI team structure
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship by 2027
Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
Active or eligible DEA registration
Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and teamwork skills
Interest in building a long-term career within a growing healthcare system
