ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Staff to assist with daily maintenance operations and ensure our community remains safe, functional, and well maintained. This role is responsible for performing hands-on maintenance while also helping coordinate preventative maintenance efforts, responding to resident service requests, and ensuring apartments are move-in ready.

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Staff  role brings strong technical knowledge across building systems, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and the leadership skills needed to help keep operations running smoothly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Assist with daily maintenance operations and support the overall upkeep of the property.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and building structures.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedule to reduce future repairs and extend equipment life.
• Assist with unit turns, ensuring apartments are cleaned, repaired, and move-in ready on schedule.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation using maintenance management systems when applicable.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance. 
• Excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience using maintenance management software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and move throughout the property for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

WORK HOURS & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

• This position requires full-time, on-site presence.
• This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week. Schedule may vary based on operational needs and maintenance emergencies.
• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
• Occasional travel to surrounding communities and local stores, as needed.
