In this role, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service in the grocery and dairy sections. Your proactive approach will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment while supporting daily store operations. Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with grocery and dairy products, ensuring items are properly arranged and labeled for easy customer access
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport products within the store or warehouse
• Conduct inventory control activities including stock counts, tracking product levels, and reporting discrepancies using RF scanners and inventory management systems
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product knowledge on grocery items, produce, and dairy products, and offer friendly customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, organizing storage spaces, and packaging products securely
• Support shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading shipments accurately while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures
• Collaborate with team members on merchandising efforts, ensuring products are well-presented and shelves are stocked efficiently

Experience

• Previous retail store experience or familiarity with grocery is preferred but we will train the right candidate!
• Hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklift trucks, or RF scanners is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control tasks accurately
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities) are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to stock levels, pricing, and inventory management
• Customer service experience that highlights effective communication skills and a friendly attitude in fast-paced environments
