As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for participants by providing compassionate personal care and health support. What You’ll Do Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring Assist with activities of daily living, including: Toileting Grooming and personal hygiene Meal assistance Support participants with mobility, exercise, and physical activities Identify safety concerns and respond appropriately to emergencies Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and light housekeeping Communicate changes in participant condition to the interdisciplinary care team Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation needs What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population Candidates with less than one year of experience may be considered with appropriate training provided upon hire Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs Ability to travel within the service area as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term care, senior care, home care, or geriatric programs Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on Day One Generous paid time off 403(b) retirement savings plan Educational assistance and professional development opportunities Daily Pay option Employee referral incentives Supportive, mission-driven work environment Mercy LIFE Norristown is part of Trinity Health PACE and is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to seniors.
