Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, assisting with benefits administration, expense management, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. The HR Generalist I role acts as the main contact between the workforce and the department for all employees HR‑related needs. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required; this position is subject to pre‑employment and reasonable suspicion testing and, if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
