Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience: 2 years - Experience with Patient Ratios: 1:2 Description: This position involves working in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for administering care to patients before, during, and after childbirth. They will manage labor progression and support patients through delivery. Knowledge of neonatal care and maternal health is essential. The nurse will assist in various procedures, including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required for working in an interdisciplinary environment. The nurse will also provide education and support to new parents. The role requires the ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Candidates should have experience with monitoring fetal heart rates and responding to abnormal findings. There may be a requirement to float to other areas as needed. Commitment to patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations is essential. This position is crucial in providing high-quality maternal and infant care. Candidates with experience in Level II Client Facilities will be considered favorably. The work will involve direct patient care for adults. Willingness to adhere to protocols regarding vaccinations is necessary.
