Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring tele experience and PALS certification for pediatric admissions.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:30)
• Minimum of 3 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
• Possibility of floating based on unit or hospital needs
• Possibility of being placed on-call
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Tele experience required
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
• PALS certification required prior to start due to pediatric admissions on this unit

Additional Information

• Unit admits pediatric patients, making PALS certification a facility requirement
• Any scrub color accepted, professional appearance expected
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no time off permitted over Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's holidays
• Call-in for a scheduled shift requires making up the missed shift by picking up another
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted for those residing within 50 miles of the facility
