Production Operator

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Location: Belvidere, NJ

Schedule:
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Production Operator to support manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, handling raw materials, packaging finished products, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on position in a GMP manufacturing environment requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Top Qualifications

• Machine operation experience or hands-on GMP/manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively on small teams
• Knowledge of GDP/cGMP requirements and quality control practices
• Physical Fit Test Required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate storage, blending, milling, packaging, and material handling equipment.
• Safely transfer raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods throughout production.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to produce quality chemical intermediates and finished products.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize performance.
• Inspect products and perform required sampling and testing.
• Follow all GMP, cGMP, ISO, and quality procedures for packaging, handling, storage, and inventory control.
• Receive, store, subdivide, and deliver raw materials according to SOPs and production requirements.
• Load and unload trucks while minimizing product damage.
• Maintain accurate receiving, inventory, and production documentation.
• Prepare and maintain product labels and label control.
• Identify equipment issues and request maintenance work orders as needed.
• Handle packaging of drummed, bagged, and boxed materials.
• Participate in shift handoffs, Tier 1 meetings, and departmental meetings.
• Assist with SOP creation, validation activities, change control, and nonconformance investigations.
• Complete required documentation, training, and computer-based learning modules.
• Perform general housekeeping and basic maintenance of production areas.

• Follow all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies and procedures.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with GMP, cGMP, ISO, DSM Life Saving Rules, and Customer Commitments.
• Maintain current safety, quality, and operational training.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing best practices.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage safe work practices among team members.
