Circulation AssistantReports To: Circulation CoordinatorMaximum Hours Per Week: 1-5Open To: Dominican University Undergraduate StudentsDates Of Availability: Fall 2026 - Spring 2027Hourly Rate: $15.00Items To Include In Application: Resume, Cover Letter, and Class ScheduleExpectations For All Dominican Employees: To support the University's mission of preparing students to pursue truth, to give compassionate service, and to participate in the creation of a more just and humane world.Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesStaff the circulation desk, check library materials in and out, and shelve the collectionAssist patrons with reserve itemsFacilitate study room reservationsAnswer directional questionsDirect all inquiries to proper library personnelPerform other duties as requested, delegated, or assignedBasic Competencies: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities)Knowledge of or ability to learn the Library of Congress and Dewey Classification systemsBasic computer skillsGood communication skillsDependableMust be enrolled as at least a part-time, degree-seeking student in a Dominican University Undergraduate ProgramMust be eligible for US employment
