Content and Communications Manager

We are currently in search of a Communications & Content Manager for a Community-Based Nonprofit Organization. The position is Hybrid in Lower Manhattan. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position with an anticipated annual salary of $70,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience. ORGANIZATION TYPE: Community-Based Nonprofit Organization LOCATION: Lower Manhattan, NY POSITION TITLE: Communications & Content Manager SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, Hybrid — 3 days onsite. Some evening and weekend event coverage is required, with hours adjusted accordingly. DURATION: Temporary-to-Permanent Hourly Rate: ($25.00 – $27.00) ($70,000–$75,000 anticipated annual salary) (2 Work samples required upon submission for role) Is This Your Dream Job? The Communications & Content Manager is a creative, hands-on role responsible for managing day-to-day communications and content across email, social media, web, print, photography, video, and digital campaigns. This position works across departments to tell the organization’s story, maintain a consistent brand, manage digital channels, and support an upcoming website redesign. The Communications & Content Manager will be a key point of contact for communications across the organization and will manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Our Ideal Candidate: 3 years of communications, marketing, content, or related experience required Strong writing and editing skills required Experience creating and managing social media, email, and digital content Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred Strong visual instincts with some experience in photography and video Experience with CRM, email marketing, CMS platforms, and digital analytics HubSpot experience is a plus Strong project management skills and attention to detail required Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities How You Will Spend Your Day: Create compelling content across email, social media, websites, print materials, photography, video, and digital campaigns. Manage social media, email marketing, website content, digital campaigns, and the editorial calendar. Create content for flyers, digital materials, newsletters, social media, banners, event promotions, and event recaps. Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure communications are organized and coordinated across departments. Support the rollout of the organization’s refreshed brand and ensure communications are consistent with new brand guidelines. Help manage the organization’s website content and collaborate with an outside vendor on an upcoming website redesign. Support website content, structure, storytelling, and user experience. Help develop targeted communications using CRM data and audience insights. Partner with teams across the organization to identify stories, plan campaigns, and capture important events and community moments. Monitor social media, email, website, and campaign performance to understand what is working and make improvements. Manage multiple communications projects and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
