Required to work at least every other holiday. Highlights: Med/Surg Telemetry specialty with a focus on cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition Epic EMR system utilized for charting and documentation ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation Contract extension opportunities available for up to 18 months Comprehensive orientation with pre-start modules and hands-on competency training Vaccine requirements: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only) Requirements: Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required Active Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission (must be permanent, no pending licenses accepted) Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start date Epic charting system experience required One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (references must be from assignments worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted) All certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (two attempts maximum) BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract Negative drug screen required No license or open legal case issues Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced telemetry nurses to advance their clinical skills in a supportive environment with state-of-the-art technology.
