Details MICU unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 Floating required across all three hospital campuses within 20 miles Charting completed in Epic White scrub color required Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certification required at time of submission NIHSS certification required prior to start Minimum 18 months of recent MICU experience required, 2 years preferred Epic EMR experience required Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure patients Proficient in arterial and central line management Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Able to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) Experience with ETT and NT suctioning Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use One professional reference required from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to critically ill medical ICU patients Complete time-sensitive Epic training modules promptly upon assignment confirmation Facility is smoke free and requires all travelers to be nicotine free with negative 10-panel and cotinine drug screen COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical or religious exemptions only Expected to work every other holiday All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait one year from their last end date before returning Assignments may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning American Traveler Job ID P-750513.
