MIG Welder / Fabricator | $18.00–$24.00 per hour DOE | 1st or 2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire

What Matters Most

• Competitive pay of $18.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience
• Additional $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift
• Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Thursday, with required overtime as needed
• Schedule: 2nd Shift: 4:00 pm–2:30 am, Monday–Thursday, with required overtime as needed
• Location: High Point, NC, with the position transitioning to Asheboro, NC
• Temporary-to-hire opportunity with career growth and stability
• Weekly pay with direct deposit or pay card

Job Description

An established manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to support structural fabrication and production needs. In this role, you will perform MIG welding on steel materials while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and safety. This opportunity is well suited for a skilled welder who takes pride in craftsmanship and works effectively in a team-focused production environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform structural MIG welding and fabrication to support production and assembly requirements
• Complete welds using GMAW/MIG wire feed processes on steel materials
• Inspect completed work to maintain quality and accuracy standards
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and operational goals

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Ability to successfully complete a 3G and 4G welding test using the GMAW process on 3/8-inch material
• Previous experience welding steel using MIG wire feed processes
• Strong verbal communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Ability to follow safety standards, procedures, and workplace requirements
• Ability to work required overtime as needed
• Must meet pre-employment background check and drug screening requirements

The base pay range for this position is $18.00–$24.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
