The Hospital Liaison position is an external marketing/business development role responsible for overseeing admissions to the facility. Their work helps ensure that patients receive the care they need in a holistic, patient-centered manner. Responsibilities Serve as a liaison between hospitals, assisted living communities, physicians and other healthcare providers who provide referrals to our facility. Plan, develop and coordinate patient referrals, hospital & physician relationships. Secure new customers and work with facility leadership for both new and returning patients/residents to ensure a smooth admission into the facility. Actively communicate with facility leadership on new admission information, projected changes in admissions, bed changes, discharges, tours, meetings and upcoming event information. Demonstrate a strong customer service approach by providing patient/resident and family members with all necessary information regarding facility services. Make inpatient visits to patients and provide education to providers, patients and families that are potential for admission. Responsible for census development. Develop and implement public relations and marketing programs. Attend community events to increase census and provide key community healthcare organizations information regarding facility services. Work with various departments to ensure first impressions and standards are met for an overall professional presentation of the facility and services. Provide quality facility tours, maintain current knowledge of bed availability, and ensure responses to all inquiries are handled properly, timely, and with appropriate follow-up. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Degree in Business Administration/Public Relations/Marketing or related field (Required) Extensive travel (Required) Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive/confidential information. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite and all social media) Ability to work flexible hours, as admission responsibilities may dictate Demonstrated critical thinking skills, problem‑solving abilities, effective communication skills, and time‑management skills.
