It’s Monday morning in Lake Charles. Your tablet lights up with overnight alerts from our fleet. You open T3, prioritize work orders, and pull live diagnostics from a mix of aerial lifts and heavy equipment. By 9 AM, you’ve isolated a hydraulic fault, ordered parts, and documented the plan—before rolling into an electrical repair across the bay. That’s a typical day as a Shop Technician at EquipmentShare.

Work hours are steady—Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM—with overtime after 40 hours. You’ll occasionally rotate on-call, with added compensation.

Your impact

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems for rental and customer-owned machines.
• Leverage live data across hundreds of models to get to the root cause fast and choose the right corrective action.
• Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals; and order parts within our T3 platform.
• Keep precise digital records every day.
• Mentor junior technicians and pitch in with equipment/parts pick-up and delivery.
• Operate with a safety-first mindset; OSHA familiarity is a plus.
• Strengthen your craft with year-round, company-provided OEM training—supported by industry-leading diagnostic tools.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Personal tool set appropriate to the position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude; confident with standard shop tooling.
• Expertise reading schematics and diagrams for construction equipment.
• Clear communication, great teamwork, and strong customer focus.

Education and experience

• High school diploma required; trade school certificate preferred.
• Field service, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.

Physical and safety notes

• Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend comfortably.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
