This position plays a vital role in safe and efficient jobsite operations, with a primary focus on operating front-end loaders in active public streets. At FED CORP, you're not just operating equipment—you're helping build and maintain essential public infrastructure that communities rely on every day.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate front-end loaders safely and efficiently on water and sewer job sites, including work in active public streetsOnload and offload materials, equipment, and jobsite suppliesBackfill trenches accurately and efficiently in accordance with project specificationsOperate additional equipment as needed, including excavators, pavers, and other ancillary machineryMove materials and objects around the jobsite to support production and crew efficiencyWork closely with foremen, laborers, truck drivers, and project managers to maintain workflowPerform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concernsFollow all OSHA, company safety policies, and jobsite-specific requirementsAssist with general site support tasks as needed to keep projects moving on scheduleQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience operating equipment on water and sewer utility projectsProven proficiency operating front-end loaders (required)Experience operating excavators, pavers, and other ancillary construction equipmentClass A CDL preferred; Class B CDL acceptableStrong understanding of jobsite safety, trenching, and public roadway workAbility to work efficiently in active construction zones and around other crewsReliable, punctual, and safety-focused professionalPositive attitude with a goal-oriented, team-first mindsetStrong communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisionBenefitsPrevailing wage compensation on applicable projectsWeekly pay cycleMedical and dental insurancePaid time off (holidays, vacation, and sick leave)Paid training and certificationsOpportunity for steady, long-term work on public utility projectsSupportive, family-oriented company cultureDirect access to company leadershipWork ScheduleFull-TimeMonday to FridayOccasional overtime depending on project requirementsWork LocationBased out of Dedham, MAJob sites located throughout MassachusettsDaily travel to active project sites requiredEqual Employment Opportunity StatementWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
