Microbiology Analyst- Environment Testing, Hanover MD
$18 - $22 per hourEurofins
Eurofins Environment Testing seeks a Microbiology Analyst to prepare and analyze environmental water samples using EPA-approved methods in Hanover, MD. This full-time role involves performing microbial detection assays, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze environmental water samples for target organisms including Total Coliforms, E. coli, and Enterococcus
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment such as incubators, water baths, and refrigerators
- Enter analysis data into LIMS system and perform first-level data reviews
- Perform Quality Control testing and monitor equipment temperatures twice daily
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, prepare glassware, and manage waste using autoclave and disinfectants
Requirements
- Environmental Science or Biology degree, or degree with minimum 4 credit hours of Microbiology
- Experience with microbiological laboratory testing procedures
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Professional English proficiency (read, write, speak)
- Computer skills including word processing and database management
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $18-22/hour
