Custodial AssociateThe Custodial Associate keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. This position performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs or material replacement, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. This position may need to support multiple buildings as schedules and operations dictate, including Cultivation, Manufacturing and Retail. Evening/night/weekend work may be required. Please note: This position involves working with plant material, which may include exposure to pollen, allergens, and other plant-related substances. We recommend that applicants with known plant allergies or sensitivities consult with a healthcare professional before applying for this position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Service, clean, or supply restrooms, including showersClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuumingGather and empty trashFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixturesMix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specificationsClean windows, glass partitions, blinds, and/or mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegeesNotify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systemsDust furniture, walls, machines, or equipmentMaintain outdoor sanitation, including snow removal and salting of walking areasObserve plant safety rules, help to identify and eliminate any safety hazards or concerns, as well as assist in monitoring the quality of work output and maintenance proceduresAssist in conducting operations to meet established cost standards for the use of materials, supplies, and equipmentFollow instructions for the most efficient use of tools, machines, and materialsMaintain a neat and orderly working area and assist other departments in the cleanliness and organization of working areas when projects overlap with other department areasBring any ideas to light for possible usage in factory functionsMeet attendance requirements to perform essential elements as noted above between the assigned start and end times for workQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
